Badalassi Carlo Waxy Pullup Cowhide

Well that is a mouthful. You really gotta be careful saying that first bit...shew. ANYWAYS. This is my most popular material for rebinding. The quality of the leather is outstanding, the look is appealing long after the first glance. This a smooth, almost firm feeling leather. It comes in many different shades, so feel free to request photos if you’d like to see more. This leather patinas over time, as the oils in your hand smooth the leather, and darkens the color.

I wish I still had this Bible. :) Ok im done.

Conceria Mud Walpier Cowhide

This is my favorite cowhide. Mud Walpier is like butter in the hand. If you are wanting the most supple cowhide on the market, look no further. The pattern varies from hide to hide. I’ve seen some absolutely stunning pebble grain and smooth lined wrinkle grains as well. This has a great pull-up effect, a phenomena when the leather is stretched or bent, leaving a lighter mark where the leather was “pulled-up”. The more you know.

Crazy Horse

No, it’s not actually horse. But they do make that…

This is a super cool cowhide! It has a pull-up effect, like the rest of these. The chalky pattern on the hide makes for a Bible that will gain character over time. Like all these cowhides, this will patina over time from the oils on your hand, giving it a nice smooth finish.
